Welcome to Startup Frontrow, where I will be sharing my personal thoughts from running one of the first GenAI companies at Y Combinator. I started Poly with my cofounder in early 2022, months before Stable Diffusion and ChatGPT’s public debut. As one of the only YC GenAI companies in our batch, we had little idea how this industry would shake out. In just a couple of months, GenAI went from tech nerd’s secret language to the only topic in Silicon Valley, along with many amazing GenAI startups becoming household names and unicorns. We quickly raised $8M for Poly from some of the top AI investors in the world and joined the races.

This blog is created to share my personal thoughts while running my early-stage startup in this overwhelming GenAI wave, covering topics on industry insights, consumer behaviors, growth hacks, market musings, GPUs, recruiting, design, and more!
